Data policy · Integers Uganda Ltd · Effective 1 July 2026

1. Overview

Integers Uganda Ltd (“Integers”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Nexa service and this website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal data when you use Nexa or interact with us. We process personal data in accordance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 of Uganda and its regulations.

2. Who we are

Integers Uganda Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed through Nexa. You can reach our privacy team at privacy@integersuganda.com or by post at our registered office at Plot 689, Bukoto-Kisasi Road, Kampala, Uganda.

3. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

Account & contact data — your name, business name, WhatsApp number, phone number and email address.

Tax & business data — your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), URA EFRIS credentials and access tokens, and the invoices, receipts, credit/debit notes, stock records, customer and supplier details you create or submit through Nexa.

Payment data — subscription and billing information, processed through licensed payment providers.

Technical & usage data — device information, log data, message metadata and how you interact with the service.

Communications — the content of messages you exchange with Nexa and our support team.

4. How we use your information

We use personal data to provide and operate Nexa; to fiscalise your transactions through URA’s EFRIS on your instruction; to authenticate you and secure your account; to process payments; to provide customer support; to detect and prevent fraud and abuse; to improve our products; and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

5. Legal basis for processing

We rely on the following legal bases under the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019: performance of our contract with you; your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); compliance with a legal obligation, including tax law; and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, where these are not overridden by your rights.

6. Sharing & disclosure

We share personal data with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) through EFRIS to fiscalise your transactions; with WhatsApp/Meta to deliver messages; with licensed payment processors; and with vetted service providers (such as cloud hosting) who process data on our behalf under written agreements. We may also disclose data where required by law or a lawful authority. We do not sell your personal data.

7. EFRIS & URA

Nexa acts on your behalf to transmit fiscal data to URA’s EFRIS. Once submitted, that data is subject to URA’s own systems, records and policies. You are responsible for the accuracy of the transaction details you provide.

8. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as necessary to comply with legal and tax obligations. Fiscal and accounting records may be retained for the periods required by Ugandan tax law (generally at least five years).

9. Security

We use technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and secure handling of your EFRIS credentials — to protect personal data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights

Under the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you have the right to access your personal data, to correct inaccurate data, to request deletion, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@integersuganda.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO) of Uganda.

11. International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside Uganda. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection consistent with Ugandan law.

12. Children

Nexa is intended for businesses and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13. Cookies

Our website uses essential and analytics cookies to operate the site and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a revised effective date.
